Welcome to Forzanightly, the home to all of your Revolution Online Racing related news. Had a couple of weeks full of racing so lets get straight into it.

First up was the Abarth 500 Championship around Silverstone National for the penultimate rounds. Qualifying was interesting with cars affected by ballast struggling to keep up with the field and showing the Abarth to be a tricky machine to tame. Firben took pole position followed by BakedBean57 and DFOLEY64.

Race 1 got underway and the late arrival of Tyronee487163 would see him start from the very back of the field. By turn 2, he had already moved up to 7th position. Firben had a somewhat poor start to the race after nearly stalling on the line and dropping down to 4th. DFOLEY64 on the other hand had a great start and was battling for 2nd but a mistake towards the end of the lap saw him drop down to 8th. As the race continued, the man on the move was Tyronee487163 who moved up to the sharp end of the grid within a few laps putting BigAssTurbo and Firben under pressure. As the race went on, it looked like BakedBean57 had a satisfactory lead over the rest but it wasn't meant to be as Tyronee487163 took the lead and with ballast on board, BakedBean57 didn't have a comeback to regain the place. In the final few laps, Firben hounded BakedBean57 for 2nd place with the Revolution Car holding on until the very end and coming out on top. It was a great win for Tyronee487163 after starting from the back, with BakedBean57 being the best of the ballast group coming home in 2nd and the nicest man on xbox Firben taking 3rd. A welcome return for Pepper27192 saw her take 10th place for the final point.

Race 2 started with a reverse grid by best lap. The top five finishers all had ballast meaning it was all to play for in the final race of the day. Pepper27192 moved to the side to let the field by in order to avoid getting mixed up in any first corner antics and rejoined at the rear of the pack. Turn 1 saw an unusual event as BakedBean57, who is known for close quarters racing, spooked out and steered out of the turn into the run off. FeltDeano1971 capitalised on this and took an early lead which was threatening to all after his race win a couple of rounds before. The race seemed close fought up and down the field but contact between grahdou38 and DFOLEY64 opened an Abarth sized hole for BakedBean57 to fill and gain 2 positions. As the race went on, FeltDeano1971 looked to have total control and went on to take the win. The rest battled on and saw a strong race from DFOLEY64 and grahdou38 even after their little altercation at the beginning making them strong contenders for the future.

Overall, it was another great race weekend for the Abarths and upon their return at Watkins Glen, someone will be crowned champion. Hopefully the championship will be sent off with some more great racing.

Next up was the Lotus Exige Cup from Laguna Seca. This track has proven to always provide some exciting racing here at ROR and this time round it didn't disappoint. Only 3 out of 5 with ballast were here for this race meeting so it was all to play for with the ballast group having something to prove. ZeroRumblee56844 was ballast free and was able to put a pole worthy lap together, followed by FEUERDOG and the top ballast carrier was BoostedPluto who managed an epic 3rd place start.

After race long battles, FEUERDOG came out on top for race 1, followed by BoostedPluto and finally BakedBean57. With the top 5 gaining ballast for the next race, would they be able to repeat their first race success? For BoostedPluto and BakedBean57 the answer was yes but the top step of the podium for this race was ballast free BUCKO VERSUS.

After reviewing the race footage following a couple of requests by racers, ZeroRumble56844 was deemed to have gained an unfair advantage by cutting the track on 10 out of the 12 laps and was given a 30 second penalty which was added to the end of his race which dropped him down to 4th place and gifted FEUERDOG the top step of the podium followed by BoostedPluto and BakedBean57 who were both carrying ballast.

Up next we had the final rounds of the Australian Touring Car Championship. Sending this series out with a bang around Circuit of the Americas was thebeardyguy who achieved pole position and turned that into a race 1 win and a bonus point for fastest lap. He wasn't able to make a clean sweep this weekend in his Nissan GTR as Team Beige Tyronee487163 was on his case, taking the win for race 2 but narrowly missing out on that bonus point for fastest lap by 0.6 seconds. That was claimed by the somewhat unrivalled speed of the Nissan GTR of thebeardyguy.

As these were the last rounds of this series, I think we will send it out with a bang and leave you hanging here until the videos are published on our YouTube Channel so make sure you are subscribed and have notifications turned on for new videos.

Finally we had our year long Revolution Cup in the wonderful Mini Cooper JCW GP2 around Le Mans Bugatti. This race weekend saw a jam packed race grid with 14 people qualifying in the hopes of taking home a win. Pole was achieved by ZeroRumble56844 who had something to prove after his penalty from the previous weekends racing. The best of the ballast carriers was BakedBean57 in a less than shabby 4th place.

This series is always a crowd pleaser with well tuned cars that handle pretty well around all circuits we have raced at already. Championship leader BakedBean57 had a cracking weekend, with two podiums, one of them being the top step and the other a 2nd place. With quite a packed grid, there was battling to be had. Make sure to keep an eye out on our YouTube Channel for this one too as it isn't to be missed!

And that wraps up this edition of Forzanightly. Hope you have enjoyed having a little scroll and we hope to see you on track sometime soon.

From the team @ ROR

Keep the wheels turning
