Welcome to the newest edition of Forzanightly, the home of all things Revolution Online Racing!

Lets kick this issue off with the return of the Lotus Exige Cup. This week the Lotus' travel to the Monza circuit, and with past incidents, we chose to run the full alternative circuit. But in true Lotus style, there were fireworks from the get to. Qualifying was a lock out for the South Africans as GenuineGull095 pipped BoostedPluto to P1 with BUCKO VERSUS in 3rd and BakedBean57 being the top ballast qualifier.

Race 1 started under chaotic circumstances as race controlled lined up drivers all wrong. The start was similar to one earlier this year seeing Pimms UKSF and psyclapse edin sandwich menes reus down the straight and ultimately firing Pimms UKSF towards the barrier. Tyronee487163 was left with no where to go and rear ended the Lotus of Pimms UKSF. Pimms UKSF continued on track and gave grahdou38 the heave ho into Ascari leaving the Scotsman in the sand. Tyronee487163 pitted at the end of the first lap to repair the damage caused at the beginning of the lap which raised the question would he be able to make it to the end or would he need to pit again for more fuel? Back in 3rd place, Pimms UKSF made a mistake into the chicane and BakedBean57 looked to capitalise to take the position but psyclapse edin outbraked himself and punted the Revolution car into the tyres leaving a wonky Lotus and a somewhat annoyed Geordie. GenuineGull095 looked to have a comfortable lead and his fellow countryman BoostedPluto was also on full attack, jumping his way up the field. As the race continued, the duo took 1st and 2nd. Ralflet made the best of a poor qualifying position to finish 4th ahead of BakedBean57 who made a decent comeback but coasted over the line due to running out of fuel. In the end, Team Beige Tyronee487163 was forced to make two pit stops and finished in 10th.

Race 2 saw a great start from all of the drivers with even the chicane being executed nicely. DEADorGONE, in the Fuse Lotus, dropped a wheel into the sand which resulted in the American dropping to the back of the pack. Later, grahdou38 locked up into Ascari while battling with psyclapse edin for 6th and saw the Glaswegian take a quick trip into the sand that hosted him in race 1. Pimms UKSF fell from P1 after locking up into the chicane which opened the door for Ralflet and BoostedPluto. Meanwhile, the battle for 5th heated up as the experienced Revolution drivers struggled to pass Gdad Bilko. When questioned about this at the end of the race, Gdad Bilko claimed that his driver training was paying off, which was backed up by the rest of the field. Ralflet and BoostedPluto took to the pits allowing Tyronee487163 to inherit the lead as he looked to improve on his race 1 finishing position. The battle for the last point was heating up further down the grid and being battled out between the recovering cars of grahdou38 and DEADorGONE who were looking to catch psyclapse edin. psyclapse edin eventually took 9th position and Weblomaniac took 10th with the recovering drivers being unable to score. As the race continued, Tyronee487163 was not able to keep 1st place as the lead was regained by BoostedPluto when the Team Beige Lotus had to take his mandatory pit stop. Ralflet eventually finished in 1st and BoostedPluto took 2nd after a race long battle between the pair.

Last but not least was saw the next rounds of the Type R Cup around Brands Hatch GP. With an exciting opening to the season, the drivers were geared up for this weekend. New drivers joined to see what the mighty hatchbacks had to offer with their BTCC style racing. Qualifying got underway with pole going to ZeroRumble56844 for his first outing in the EP3 Civic, 2nd went to thebeardyguy who was hoping for a better weekend this time round and 3rd spot went to Team Beige Tyronee487163.

Race 1 was a very good race with action all around the circuit but the spoils went to the young American of ZeroRumble56844 but would he be able to keep it up in race 2 with ballast? 2nd place went to thebeardyguy showing glimpses of a better weekend and 3rd went to BUCKO VERSUS who climbed up from his 7th place starting position. Race 2 literally started with a bang as the cars arriving at Druids turned race 1 hero to Zero(Rumble56844). While attempting to make his way up the field, he collected a Class A car, stopping him dead and with no where to go, the rest of the field ended up putting him on his roof. Never the less, he recovered and took 9th overall. BakedBean57 returned to take the top step after a race free of ballast and was joined by GenuineGull095 and cal mozza1990 who were also ballast free. The top ballast finisher was BUCKO VERSUS who had a fantastic Sunday and saw him take 2nd in the overall championship standings behind BakedBean57, both being at the top of their Class standings as well.

The next rounds see the Civics return to the track of their inception, Sonoma. With plenty of over taking spots and elevation changes, its bound to be an epic round.

Well guys and gals, thats all for this Forzanightly. We hope you have enjoyed catching up with all thats been going on and we hope to see you on track sometime soon.

From all the team @ ROR

Keep the wheels turning!
