Forzanightly Vol.8

After a short break, we are back with a bang and the biggest volume of Forzanightly to date! This issue is going to be slightly different to previous issues as it is going to give you all a round up of most recent race results and changes that we have had to our calendar due to some racing series coming to an end and others beginning.

So, lets get going!

We will begin all the way back in April when the first ever series here at Revolution Online Racing came to an end and another began. We said farewell to the Pre '66 Touring Car Championship and hello to the Australian Touring Car Championship. Their maiden voyage was around the iconic Bathurst. The mountain is a very unique track so it would take some work from the racers to tame these classic cars and come out on top. A couple of weeks later, it was the turn of another challenging track. Rounds 3&4 were around Watkins Glen. These rounds were somewhat dominated by the Nissan GTR, with two of the three bonus points being claimed by said car. There was action up and down the grid so be sure to check out those replay videos on our YouTube channel for full coverage of the racing. The results can be found on the website.

Next up were the final rounds of the Scirocco Cup. Although the championship had already been decided in the penultimate rounds, the grid was still jam packed with cars. The track of choice for the last rounds would be Hockenheim full and as per usual, there was battling to be had, with Ralflet in his Scirocco taking pole position and 1st place in both races, plus a bonus point for fastest lap in race 2. It was BakedBean57's night in the end though as he was crowned champion of the Scirocco Cup. A brief summary of results can be found below, with the full results available to view on the website.

Up next was the first outing of another new series, seeing the beginning of the little pocket rocket Abarth 500's. There was some fun to be had in these around Monza, with its tight turns and long straights, there was plenty of action on show. Again, be sure to check out our YouTube channel for the full coverage of the racing, they really are fun to watch. A summary of results can be found below with full results on the website.

The Revolution Cup was up next and this time saw the Mini Cooper GP2's racing around Road Atlanta Full. With a pretty full grid, the racing was action packed and extremely fun. This track brings challenges of its own with some high powered corners and some awkwardly placed tyre walls so having an excursion on the grass (which happens a lot!) can be very costly. The standings for this one are close at the top but its is all still to play for in our year long Revolution Cup. Results in full are on the website but there is a summary below.

Then was the return of the always popular Revolution Touring Car Championship around the challenging Laguna Seca. Most of our Revolution team cars were running their #BillyWhizz sticker in support of Billy Monger who tragically lost both of his lower legs in a crash at Donington Park in the the British F4 race which regularly supports the BTCC. We also donated to help him with his recovery so head over to his just giving page and help out all you can. There is a summary of the results below and full results can be found on our website.

That is all for now! Regular schedule will now be resumed with results updates on the website and Forzanightly every other Wednesday.

We hope you have enjoyed this bumper issue of Forzanightly and we hope to see you on the track sometime soon.

Keep the wheels turning

From the Team @ ROR UK
